Welcome to Independent Women, and I hope that our website helps to provide more information to you on the services of Independent Women, and the value of having a sound financial plan.
Since I started in financial services over 20 years ago, I have been passionate about raising the profile for women and our unique financial needs, and the services that are available. My own experiences (marriage and family, new business, juggling the work/life balance) weren't dissimilar to many women I met, and along with a wealth of feedback received from clients over the years, it was clear that women's financial needs were very often different to those of men, but were being treated in a standardised way - practical solutions sometimes, but without the understanding or empathy for the upheaval that could sometimes go with life's challenges.
To me, the most important aspect in anyone's future is health and happiness, whilst not forgetting about financial security, as these often go hand in hand. I felt very strongly that a company of like-minded advisers who could help to attain this would be a fabulous service to all women.
Our main goal is to ensure that you have the best financial advice available, within a welcoming and friendly environment. We won't dazzle you with industry jargon or make assumptions about what is best for you; we work closely to find out your goals and what is right for just you.
We also believe that an important part of reaching any financial decision is the trust you have in your adviser. That's why we always welcome you to join us for a coffee and a chat, so that we can learn more about you and you can learn more about us, and take things from there. We will take the time to outline any costs at your first meeting, so that by the time you leave, you have all the information you need to decide your next step.
In 2008, we are excited to be celebrating over 10 years at the forefront of financial affairs for women. Details of our anniversary celebrations will be posted to our website very shortly, and we would welcome the chance to share these with you.
