Love it or loathe it, the Sex and the City sensation has got a lot to answer for.  The series endorsed a change in the confidence levels of women, embraced a more indulgent side and celebrated an enjoyment of all things female.  Criticised for being vacuous, we women know Carrie's love of Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo is merely a metaphor for the way we choose to live our life and spend our hard earned cash.
