Source: MyMoneyDiva, 2010 What is the best way to invest £100k? I do not own a property and would like to. - P Exchange, Surrey As with any investment, you need to consider the length of time that you would be happy to invest, your attitude to risk, and your overall objectives. If for example this is a longer term investment, my initial recommendations would be to maximise your ISA. You could consider a portfolio of Unit Trusts, which in effect are a basket of shares. With regard to property, it would depend on the timeframe attached to this - if imminent, then a safer investment may be more appropriate for you. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this more with you, and if you could provide me with more information about your financial aims, I can be much more specific. - LesIey Collins, Chief Executive, Independent Women |
