I founded Independent Women because I wanted to make a difference in as many women’s lives as possible. Women face unique financial challenges in life and we’re self-sacrificing by nature, so it’s crucial that our finances are in the best shape that they possibly can be. Financial advice was so homogeneous and as a business owner and entrepreneur juggling a young family myself, I recognised that a very different approach was needed to engage with women like me. I wanted so much more for myself and for others. 26 years on and I’m incredibly proud to be a contributor to transforming the financial futures of so many.

I have over 20 years of experience advising on personal and business tax planning, compliance, strategic matters, and acting as an expert witness for divorce and litigation, and have acted for a notable client base including businesses and individuals in the public eye, royalty and noted academics.
I guide clients on their personal and business tax, including succession, structuring, business sale and exit planning, and tax-efficient profit extraction, but fundamentally work closely with each person and their business to reach a bespoke plan which considers their wider (often complex) needs.

I think it’s really important that more of us feel confident when making money decisions. I really enjoy getting to know my clients – their individual priorities, aspirations and dreams, and then building the highly-personalised strategic plans to achieve them. I am a Chartered and Certified Financial Planner, based in London and I specialise in all areas of financial planning, including financial protection, investing, divorce planning, planning for retirement, plus later-life and inheritance tax planning.

I work closely with my clients, defining what is important to and creating bespoke strategies to ensure each of their financial futures is being looked after. I advise individuals and business owners, helping them achieve their personal and financial goals throughout the different stages of life. My expertise is investment planning, retirement planning, tax mitigation, trust & estate planning, and advising on personal and business protection requirements to ensure my clients’ financial plans are robust. I’m also a specialist in cashflow modelling demonstrating the short, medium and long-term impact that different financial planning options can achieve.

I am a financial planner based in Glasgow advising on pensions, investments, protection, and cash flow planning. I work with clients to understand what is really important to them so that we can provide best advice tailored to their circumstances. My favourite part of the job is seeing clients achieve or move closer to their objectives year on year as a result of their planning. As well as working with individuals on their own planning, I have experience of working with financial guardians, attorneys, and trustees.
